This course introduces the essential techniques for creating cgi and visual effects.

Begins with modeling and texturing an asset in Maya, lighting and rendering into layers and passes with Arnold render engine, then leads into the various approaches for professionally compositing and integrating into a live-action background using Nuke X. Explore the main composite tree in Nuke, and the use of the various render passes including diffuse, specular, reflection, shadow, z-depth, effects and ambient occlusion.
